PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE
Promoted, organized, set-up and produced over 500 international
music events, showcases and festivals throughout Ontario,
British Columbia, the west coast U.S including numerous
cities and beach resorts in Mexico
An established international DJ and promoter in Canada,
the U.S. west coast and throughout Mexico from 1988 to present
(approx. 20yrs)
Contracted as a DJ by numerous nightclubs, event promoters
and festival agents to develop various event conceptions,
manage event personnel, direct promotions and logistics,
along with event production and direction, including: sound
and lightning, staging, décor, visuals, and booking
services for international and national artists. On occasion
some duties would also include performance scheduling, stage
management, production budgeting and accounts payable
References of production organizations and venues in Toronto
and Vancouver with who I was associated include: early techno
event pioneers Transcendance and Alien productions, Shiva
gatherings, Resonance, Om Festivals, Ecofest, Earthdance,
Shambhala Music Festival, Bside, Tribal Harmonix Collective,
Moontribe and Gathering of The Tribes.
Nightclubs and café venues such as The Rise, The
Guvernment (formerly RPM), Oz, Area 51, Opera House, Limelight,
the Lotus, Waazubeez, Subeez, The Source, The Purple Onion,
Sonar, The Red Lounge, Café Deux Soliel, 23 West
Cordova, Stella’s and Bump n’ Grind
Experience producing internet radio shows and dj sets (live
and pre-recorded) a regular guest on Toronto university
and F.M stations ’92–‘96
A major catalyst in introducing and initiating full moon
gatherings in southern Ontario between ’92–‘97
and in British Columbia from ’99 - 2002
Directed and facilitated 4 caravans:
1 through B.C, and 3 from BC along the US west coast and
throughout Mexico showcasing live music, Dj’s, performances
and theater, along with concepts of sustainable living,
natural time and networking communities
Strategically developed a concept of using the unity influences
of dance gatherings, combined with teaching’s of sustainability,
to activate awareness and bring aid to national campaigns
such as;
- Earth Roots “Save Tamagami” campaign which
is the worlds last remaining giant white pine forest in
southwestern Ontario
- preservation of the Great Bear Rainforest (the worlds
last remaining intact temperate rainforest) with the Sierra
Club of BC
Main organizer for a campaign to preserve the Elaho Valley,
protecting the sacred spirit lands (Puyam) of the Squamish,
Coast Salish natives. Created many fundraisers and special
events to gain public attention and support for these regions.
All the campaigns were very successful and accomplished
their objectives.
Very skilled in small business practices such as : administration,
computing, internet, marketing, promotions, management,
and multi-media production direction.
Also very independant, self-motivated, well organized,
responsible, trustworthy, bondable, honest and integral.
